Cough

Burnt sugar - cough drops

A cough can come on completely unexpectedly. Most often, this is a protective reaction of the body to the ingress of an irritant into the upper respiratory tract. In this case, the cough is short, strong, abrupt, and goes away almost as soon as the body manages to get rid of the irritant. But if it occurs periodically or lasts for a long time, then this indicates serious malfunctions in the body, and, possibly, the onset of a chronic disease. And in this case, it is necessary to take measures to treat the cough. In some cases, you can quickly cure your cough with regular burnt sugar.

What is a cough?

Many people doubt whether burnt sugar helps with coughs or if this is an old invention of our grandmothers. Surprisingly, it helps. Moreover, it has been proven for centuries. After all, before there were not a large number of pharmacies, and medicines were very expensive. Therefore, they were treated with what was at hand. And even the poorest house certainly had ordinary sugar. But burnt sugar does not help from any cough, but only from "dry".

The nature of the cough depends on the reasons that caused it. It can be a mechanical irritant, allergy, or pathogens. If a cough is a symptom of a viral or infectious disease, then it is usually wet. In such cases, sputum production increases in the body. It flows down the back wall of the larynx, enters the bronchi, irritates them and causes a wet gurgling cough, due to which excess fluid is coughing up and excreted from the body.

A completely different picture is observed with diseases such as:

  • angina;
  • laryngitis;
  • tracheitis;
  • bronchitis;
  • pharyngitis.

Inflammatory processes cause severe irritation of the upper respiratory tract, and it is this that provokes a "dry", sharp, as doctors call it, unproductive cough, which can be very painful. In addition, it is often a symptom of tuberculosis or an acute allergic reaction.

It is also important to understand that burnt sugar is not a cure, but only a remedy for a symptom. It really is able to quickly relieve the attack and "soften" the cough, helping to facilitate coughing up and excretion of phlegm. But he does not cure the cause of the disease.

Therefore, if the disease is started, sugar alone is not enough - you need to connect serious funds.

There are many recipes for making burnt cough sugar. You can take any, but they are all a variation of the basic "burn", which is easy to make at home. Regular refined sugar is best suited for her, and its type does not matter. The same effect will be from the usual beetroot, and from the more expensive - cane. There may be sediment in the unrefined sugar. Refined burnt bean will be beautifully transparent.

Such a wonderful lollipop will be happy to be taken as medicine by children, even those who are almost impossible to persuade to swallow a pill or drink syrup. And the older guys are very fond of participating in the preparation of "burnt".

Do not forget to take precautions - when pouring the molten sugar, splashes of heated water can scatter and burn the skin. Therefore, the glass is only half filled with water.
