This recipe is suitable for those who suffer from diseases of the bronchi and lungs, since white wine contains caffeic acid, which has a beneficial effect on coughing, dilutes phlegm and removes it from the respiratory system. To prepare a drink, we perform the following steps:
  • take a glass of fresh cranberries, pass it through a sieve; cook the cake with the addition of 1 glass of sugar and 1 liter of water; filter and mix with fresh;
  • pour into a saucepan a bottle of young white dry or semi-dry wine, cranberry juice, juice of a whole lemon;
  • put the drink on a slow fire, alternately lay tangerine slices, apple pieces, 2 viburnum branches and 5 mint leaves;
  • having reached a temperature of 70ᵒС, remove from heat and let it brew for 7 minutes under a lid;
  • we filter the drink, mix with honey. Drinking the healing broth is recommended in small sips.

Contraindications

Although mulled wine is considered a very effective cough remedy, it has a number of contraindications. First of all, it is forbidden to take it to pregnant and lactating mothers, children and drivers. Warm wine should not be overused: the norm is not more than 200 ml per day. Otherwise, the healing properties will be lost, and the body will be overloaded with alcohol. Also, this remedy should be used with caution for such violations:
