Ginger for sore throat - recipes and uses

  1. A full teaspoon of the crushed root is brewed with a glass (200 ml) of boiling water. The infusion is kept for 20-30 minutes, after which it is filtered and drunk warm. After drinking tea, it is advisable to go to bed, wrap up and sweat.
  2. A tablespoon (15-20 g) of peeled and chopped fresh ginger root is poured with two glasses of cold water. Bring slowly to a boil and keep on fire for 15 minutes. Lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey are optionally added to cooled tea. They drink this tea 2-3 times a day. Tea will give vigor, relieve fatigue and headaches.

Decoction

Ginger for sore throat is effective as a decoction. Apply ginger broth in the form of rinsing. The pre-peeled root is crushed (10 g or 2 teaspoons) and filled with 250 ml of cold water. The mixture in a container is placed on a steam bath and brought to a boil for 13-15 minutes. It is removed and infused until it cools completely, must be filtered. Gargle 3-4 times a day. The tincture is filtered and consumed 1 teaspoon on an empty stomach and in the evening before meals. You can dilute the tincture with honey, water and lemon in a 1: 1 ratio.

Ginger oil

For cold symptoms, discomfort in the throat (perspiration, dryness) and fatigue, baths with the addition of ginger broth help. They are prepared as follows: 2-3 tablespoons of ginger powder are mixed with water (1000 ml) and boiled for 10 minutes. The strained broth is added to the water. Such a water procedure will help relieve tension, eliminate pain and body aches.

For inhalation for viral infections and colds, ginger oil is used when taking a bath. Dissolve 7-10 drops in hot water, exposure - 20-25 minutes.

Other recipes

Effectively treating a sore throat with ginger juice. Take two teaspoons of juice with a pinch of salt before meals twice a day.

Ginger root will help to eliminate anginal sore throat, if it is absorbed and then chewed. You should first peel a piece of root, rinse and chew for a few minutes. At first, you will feel a menthol flavor and a slight tingling sensation. This reduces the sore throat.

A simple recipe will help speed up the healing of a sore throat. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with a teaspoon of ginger root powder. The mixture is eaten with warm water in the amount of 100-200 ml. The healing properties of a dry root are not inferior to fresh raw materials.Its use is effective in acute tonsillitis, especially in the first 2-3 days of illness. Prepare a drink from dried rhizomes. Half a teaspoon of the product is mixed with a teaspoon of honey, then poured with boiling water. Cover, insist for 15-20 minutes. Contraindications for use

The plant has a fairly strong tonic effect. It is not recommended to use it when:

  • hyperthermia;
  • bleeding;
  • hypertension;
  • stomach ulcer, gastritis;
  • dyskinesia and gallstones;
  • diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis.

Ginger is used with caution to treat children under 7 years of age and pregnant women, especially in cases with a previous termination of pregnancy (miscarriages, abortions). It is forbidden to use the plant in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and lactation.
