More than 400 different constituents of this common vegetable will provide ARVI prevention with a daily consumption of only 2-3 cloves.

Garlic contains essential oil with glycoside and allin, which have an effect similar to antibiotics of the penicillin series. The bulb of garlic contains 8-10 mg of vitamin C, and the leaves - up to 55 mg. Garlic bulbs also contain carbohydrates, polysaccharides, inulin, phytosterols, B vitamins, as well as vitamins A, D, PP, minerals (iodine, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium), trace elements, silicic, sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

Phytoncides, antimicrobial substances, kill many types of bacteria and have long been used for poisoning and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Recommendations for use

Garlic penetrates the human body even through the skin. Its pungent and pungent odor can be easily defeated by chewing on some lemon, parsley, or a slice of celery root. Gargling with milk can also help remove bad breath. If the smell sticks to your hands, rub your palms with salt and rinse them with warm water.

Garlic is not recommended for pregnant women, as well as people who follow a diet or special diet, as garlic stimulates the appetite.

Garlic should be excluded from the diet when:

  • ulcer and diseases of the duodenum;
