Dizzy, heart pain and nausea: what to do with weakness and vomiting

In some cases, heart disease is asymptomatic for an extended period. However, most patients with cardiac pathology immediately notice pain in the chest and in the region of the organ, periodic cephalalgia or dizziness, weakness or shortness of breath. Often there is nausea with the urge to vomit, which causes severe discomfort, and thereby aggravates the general condition. These manifestations may indicate various pathologies, and therefore, in case of nausea and pain in the heart, you should immediately consult a doctor for examination and identify the cause of the symptoms.

Why nausea can join heart pain

Complaints that the heart hurts and vomits indicate the pathology of the cardiovascular or nervous system. The appearance of such symptoms provokes many factors. The mechanism of nausea and vomiting is the same. There is a vomiting center in the human brain. Anatomically, it is located in the medulla oblongata, near the respiratory, vasomotor and autonomic centers, and is closely related to them. Changes in the frequency and rhythm of breathing, increased salivation, increased heart rate and pain in the heart provoke excitation of the vomiting center and precede nausea. The stimulating effect on the vomiting center causes irritation of the internal receptors, which occurs when:

  • a sharp increase in blood and intracranial pressure;
  • violation of the heart rhythm;
  • a lack of oxygen and a reflex effect on the digestive organs during hypoxia;
  • increased intracardiac pressure;
  • increased intra-abdominal pressure;
  • excessive stretching of the stomach walls with a large amount of fluid or food eaten.

Cause nausea and drugs, whose metabolites stimulate the cells of the vomiting center. Cardialgia, pain in the heart in the left side of the chest or in the armpit area signal one of the diseases of the cardiovascular system, which are characterized by a combination of symptoms of aching pain in the organ and nausea

If your health deteriorates along with the weather, it is most likely to blame for the meteosensitivity. What it is and how to get rid of this problem, we described in detail in the video below.

What pathologies need to be excluded in the first place

Below is a list of diseases in which nausea and cardialgia are the leading signs:

  1. Hypertonic disease and a persistent increase in indicators of more than 150/100 mm Hg. Art., in which there is severe nausea or vomiting at the peak of pressure, dizziness, a feeling of noise in the head and ears.

  7. Compensated heart failure, in which constant fatigue, loss of strength, headaches and periodic nausea are worried.
  8. Chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation. Persistent deterioration of the condition is accompanied by an increase in impotence, shortness of breath, edema, constant nausea and aching pain in the heart.
  9. Myocarditis against the background of ARVI... In the acute phase of the disease, severe shortness of breath, a feeling of tightness in the chest with lack of air, nausea with periodic vomiting and chills, aggravated against the background of an increase in body temperature, are disturbing.
